A single, controlled intake portal for submitted material
Structured. Recorded. Accountable from the moment it arrives. Screenrep is a producer-controlled intake system for creative material that replaces ad-hoc delivery by email with a single, timestamped intake flow.
How It Works
Organized Intake
Every submission flows through a single, structured portal. No more scattered emails, attachments, or unclear delivery. Producers control exactly how material is received.
Clear Status Tracking
Writers and producers see real-time status updates. Submissions move through Delivered, Watchlisted, On Slate, and Closed — with automatic notifications at each stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Screenrep?
Screenrep is a producer-controlled intake system for creative material. It replaces ad-hoc delivery by email with a single, timestamped intake flow that producers control. Each producer operates their own branded intake portal with full control over submissions, criteria, and access.
Is Screenrep a marketplace?
No. Screenrep does not surface projects, recommend material, or enable discovery. Producers decide if, when, and how material can be delivered to them.
What does "intake" mean?
Intake refers to how creative material is delivered to a producer. This can include open intake, invitation-only delivery, or project-specific requests, depending on how a producer chooses to work. All intake happens through a structured submission flow with required project data, consent, and verification.
Does Screenrep read, evaluate, or provide feedback on material?
No. Screenrep only handles delivery, basic metadata, and intake status tracking. All creative and commercial decisions remain entirely with the producer.
What do writers receive after an intake is delivered?
Writers receive a submission confirmation email as a timestamped receipt, including the intake ID, timestamp, and key project details. Status notifications are sent as the intake moves through the producer's workflow. No feedback, messaging, or evaluation is provided.
What intake statuses can writers see?
Writers see the following statuses: Delivered (submission received by the producer), Watchlisted (project is under consideration), On Slate (project selected for active development), Closed (submission is no longer under consideration). Internal workflow statuses remain private to the producer.
What does "Closed" mean?
"Closed" means the producer has finished reviewing the intake and it is no longer under consideration. It does not imply feedback, evaluation, or use of the material.
Can a producer access a script after an intake is closed?
No. Once an intake is closed, the producer no longer has access to the script file. Only a non-content intake record is retained.
How long can a producer access a script?
Script files remain accessible to the producer while an intake is active. When an intake is closed, access to the script file is removed.
Is Screenrep free to use?
Yes. Screenrep is free for writers to submit material and free for producers to receive submissions. Paid plans apply to producers for advanced workflow features, storage, submission limits, and customization.
Is Screenrep a script storage or library system?
No. Screenrep is designed for intake and review, not permanent script storage. Script files are not retained after an intake is closed.
What happens if a file is removed?
The intake record remains intact, including timestamps and status history. Only the uploaded file is removed, similar to deleting an email attachment.
Can intake be paused or restricted?
Yes. Producers can open, close, or restrict intake at any time.
Does Screenrep protect rights?
Screenrep records delivery, timestamps, consent, and intake status changes, creating a verifiable audit trail. It does not replace legal agreements or rights registration. Each submission includes a timestamped consent record (including IP address and user agent).
Will Screenrep change how intake works over time?
Yes. Screenrep is designed to support different intake models as producer workflows evolve. Some producers may use open intake, others invitation-only or project-specific intake. Control always remains with the producer.
What happens after intake is completed?
After intake, producers review on their own timeline while moving submissions from Inbox to Watchlist to My Slate to Closed, with writers notified when opened or closed.
Can writers contact producers through Screenrep?
No. Screenrep does not provide messaging or feedback tools for intake. Any communication happens outside the platform.
What happens if a writer deletes their account after submission?
The writer will appear as "Deleted User," and their email is removed. They can no longer be contacted through the submission. The intake record remains unchanged.
